Happy Friday sweet blogging friends...I honestly don't know where the week has gone. I had planned on starting my spring cleaning this week, but that did not happen...too many places to go and appointments to keep! I hope to start next week!!!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
My dear daughter wanted to give some Valentine goodies to her close friends. I made these little bags. They're the small paper bags that you can find in the craft section of Wal-mart if you're still lucky to have a craft section. I added foam hearts and wrote on the bag with fabric paints. We added the candy and cut out a hole with a heart shaped cutter and added some ribbon. It was very inexpensive to make. The girls all loved them!
After having this table cloth and placemats on my table for a little while now, I decided I wanted a change...
I found this lace table cloth at Wal-mart on clearance for $7.00.
I've been looking at these placemats for months...finally broke down and got them...aren't they pretty? I just LOVE them!
This was a plain natural colored basket...it needed a little pick me up so I decided to paint it RED...yes, I went from a black obsession to a red obsession...I just can't help myself! My husband had asked me what color was next...lol!
Well, that's all for now...thank you so much for coming to visit me...I appreciate it very, very much! Wishing all of you sweet friends a very
Happy Valentine's Day.

I also want to thank all of you who visited and commented on my last post..."Tweaking my Tweaking." For those of you who have never tried the Wal-mart candles, I would encourage you to try them...they do smell so wonderful!

Hello dear blogging friends...I finally got around to organizing our bathroom closet. Even though the closet was pretty well organized and we could find everything we needed, I felt it was too cluttered. I needed to take the time to look through the things we had and discard what should be tossed.

Good Afternoon dear friends. Thank you all so much for your sweet and kind comments on my bench. I am so thrilled with how it turned out...I wish you all could see it in person!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I have a few things to show you today. I've been on the lookout for a small black (big surprise, huh?...lol) clock. I found this one at Big Lots for $15.00. I am really liking it alot!

While doing some errands today, I decided to stop at Burlington Coat Factory to look for more organizing bins...remember, I showed you one that I got a couple of posts ago? Anyways, I decided to stop there today to see if they had any more...they did so my next project is to get our bathroom closet organized. While I think it's neat and everyone can find what they need, I just hate seeing the stuff out on the shelves. I know, I know, you're all thinking well, isn't that what shelves are for? I hope you'll stay tuned for the reorganization project. Not sure when I'll get it started, but I will take pictures of the before and after.

Good morning, dear blogging friends! I'm glad some of you let me know that you signed up for the Gooseberry Patch cookbooklets! I'm excited...how about you? I also appreciate your kind comments on my living room tour. I still have several more pictures of the living room to post. They are pictures of horses and horse figurines. I'll probably post them at the beginning of next week.

I updated my other blog, "Home Is Where The Heart Is...2". I hope you'll stop over to read what I have to say and to look at my pictures.

I'm working on painting a couple of more things in my home black.
After I painted the BATH letters black, it seemed as though the picture above, which I got at Goodwill for .99 cents blended into the wall, so I'm painting it black.
I decided to paint this shelf black, too.

Well, that's all for now...I'm off to bake some Coffee Bars that my friend, Lesa, posted about on her blog...YUMMY!

Thank you for your sweet comments about my last post. I'm having so much fun painting things black...I hope you all don't tire of seeing my black projects because I have a few more. I'm not really sure what this wooden thing is, but I've been using it as a disguise on my washer to hide the ugly hoses. Of course, I do have to look at the hoses when I'm washing clothes, but at least they can be hidden should we have guests that need to use the powder rom.

Hello blogging friends...hope you all are doing well today! I've been busy looking for things to paint black and this is one of my recent projects. I found these metal tiles at Wal-mart in the clearance section last year. Again, I never did anything with them. Was thinking that they be great with old pictures mounted on them and that is just what I did. I figured that painting them black would work better with my decor so I slapped on a coat of paint (I found two tiles).

Good Saturday morning to all of you! I wanted to show you something else I've painted black. I found candle holders at a yard sale and never did anything with them until last week. They were originally taupe colored and just didn't do anything for me. Once they were painted black I knew I had made the right decision. I've seen many of you display things on top of the candle holders instead of candles so I decided to put my little Amish girl and boy from Home Interiors that I got when my dh and I were first married on them.
Another thing I wanted to show you is the dishes I picked up at Walmart. I found them in the clearance section. I got two boxes of them (4 place settings each). The name of them is Amber Field. I found them online, too, but the funny thing is it says they are only available online and not in the stores. They were cheaper in the store though...go figure...I guess it was my lucky day...well, I really shouldn't say luck...I don't believe in luck...things happen the way they are to happen...not by chance.

...the black painting bug that is...I bought these letters last year at Target. They were white. They didn't look bad, but they blended in with the wall too much. I love how they now "pop" on the wall.

I found these great little canning jars for .25 cents each several weeks ago at a yard sale. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with them, then it hit me...make them into candle holders!

I saw a house number sign in one of my older issues of Country Sampler and I really liked it. I decided to make one on my own. I bought the board in the craft section of Wal-mart, purchased two stars and wooden numbers. I painted the board barn red, added weathering medium, painted yellow on top for a crackled finish. The stars were already the color I wanted them. I painted the numbers black and distressed them and then added everything to the board.
I love how it turned out!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look...I hope you'll come back again soon!
