Thank you all so much for your kind comments on my last post regarding my black picture frame and the black shelf. I'm really loving how they all turned out.

For weeks now I have contemplated painting the bench on our porch, which was made by my dh back in high school (25 years ago!!!). I received a pleasant surprise when my dd and I returned home last night. I saw that the bench had been moved from the porch, but I didn't know what happened to it. Turns out that dh decided to paint it for me! That really touched my heart that he would do that...I guess he's not that tired of black....Yet!

Good morning, dear blogging friends! I'm glad some of you let me know that you signed up for the Gooseberry Patch cookbooklets! I'm excited...how about you? I also appreciate your kind comments on my living room tour. I still have several more pictures of the living room to post. They are pictures of horses and horse figurines. I'll probably post them at the beginning of next week.

I updated my other blog, "Home Is Where The Heart Is...2". I hope you'll stop over to read what I have to say and to look at my pictures.

I'm working on painting a couple of more things in my home black.
After I painted the BATH letters black, it seemed as though the picture above, which I got at Goodwill for .99 cents blended into the wall, so I'm painting it black.
I decided to paint this shelf black, too.

Well, that's all for now...I'm off to bake some Coffee Bars that my friend, Lesa, posted about on her blog...YUMMY!

Thank you for your sweet comments about my last post. I'm having so much fun painting things black...I hope you all don't tire of seeing my black projects because I have a few more. I'm not really sure what this wooden thing is, but I've been using it as a disguise on my washer to hide the ugly hoses. Of course, I do have to look at the hoses when I'm washing clothes, but at least they can be hidden should we have guests that need to use the powder rom.

Hello blogging friends...hope you all are doing well today! I've been busy looking for things to paint black and this is one of my recent projects. I found these metal tiles at Wal-mart in the clearance section last year. Again, I never did anything with them. Was thinking that they be great with old pictures mounted on them and that is just what I did. I figured that painting them black would work better with my decor so I slapped on a coat of paint (I found two tiles).

Good Saturday morning to all of you! I wanted to show you something else I've painted black. I found candle holders at a yard sale and never did anything with them until last week. They were originally taupe colored and just didn't do anything for me. Once they were painted black I knew I had made the right decision. I've seen many of you display things on top of the candle holders instead of candles so I decided to put my little Amish girl and boy from Home Interiors that I got when my dh and I were first married on them.
Another thing I wanted to show you is the dishes I picked up at Walmart. I found them in the clearance section. I got two boxes of them (4 place settings each). The name of them is Amber Field. I found them online, too, but the funny thing is it says they are only available online and not in the stores. They were cheaper in the store though...go figure...I guess it was my lucky day...well, I really shouldn't say luck...I don't believe in luck...things happen the way they are to happen...not by chance.

...the black painting bug that is...I bought these letters last year at Target. They were white. They didn't look bad, but they blended in with the wall too much. I love how they now "pop" on the wall.
