I'm featuring a lovely kitchen today, over on my Cape Cod blog HERE.
There's also a bit of excitement going on over HERE.... now that the photos are up!
I am seriously rushing out the door this morning, as I have shed 'pickups' (#theglamour) and I am meeting with an architect to discuss 'The House' project. Will tell you all about it tomorrow.
Happy Wednesday!

Have been shopping up a storm.
All these (and more) will be available from Cape Cod Designs over the next few months.
As you know, photos are prohibited at these dos.
I risked my life for these.
This beauty is over at my Cape Cod Bloggy already.
I have heaps more coming. Couldn't get everything photographed as my iPhone camera died. I fixed it via a "my iPhone screen is black" online forum last night. Phew.
After my big shop up, I spent yesterday afternoon and evening with my buddy, Linda, from 'The Gong'.
We have been friends since the late 80's, ever since I moved into the nurses quarters in Murwillumbah Hospital, after taking my first job out of Uni as the sole Dietitan at Tweed Heads Hospital. Linda was at one end of the nurses quarters, I was at the other. Boy, we had fun. We both confessed to going back there over the years, to see if was still the same, to catch a glimpse of the verandah, where we had all our French nights....to remember the fun.
Linda has called me 'Holly' for 24 years, as my room back then was rather floral (Holly Hobby). To Linda, and all her friends and family, I am 'Holly'. It was so nice to be 'Holly' again for one special night.
We hadn't seen each other in over 4 years so our reunion was rather loud outside Hall 1. We moved our noise to a gorgeous harbour-side restaurant and spent hours catching up, photographing each other, texting our friends with photos of us, sharing photos of our boys, friends and family, giggling, crying, philosophising. It was good for my soul. What would we do without real friends? Friends who are 'effortless' (stolen your word Loopy)... and loyal, who fiercely protect you, rally your cause and set you on the right course. Miss you in my daily life Linda. You give such great advice.
She'll be reading this saying, "enough, Holly"... and laughing at that very last sentence.
I'm off home today, to my gorgeous boys, who have been texting me saying that they've been good and that they've been doing all their jobs. Bless.
Happy Tuesday!

How I love this little nook. It's almost worth building a wall, out from the stairs, in from the front door, in my next place... just so I can have a nook like this.
Sorry, I'm not staying to chat this morning.... as I have mothering and stuff to do.
Pop over to Cape Cod Designs and have a look at my latest light.... and take a deep breath before you do. Heart stopping. Big statement. But true.
Happy Friday! Catch up tomorrow. xx

I had a bit of 'catastrophe' over at my Pinterest account this week. My pinboards experienced a name change? for some strange reason, and then they ceased to exist and no-one could access them. I salvaged what I could.... but learnt the hard way that you can't save a pin... from a pin, listed in your pins... if it theoretically 'no longer exists' as a pin. As a result of the time I spent, rescuing my favourite Pinterest images, I reckon I have some serious skills in the 'Surviving A Pinterest Catastrophe' department now.
This image, I was afraid I would never find again. I love it. It is not the usual 'white on white' kitchen I usually drool over. I love the contrasting black and white, the symmetry and those glass lights. I am currently in the midst of a glass light obsession.... and I am so going to do similar to the above in my next kitchen. I have my eye on my Dijon French Lights in the clear glass. These ones:
I love their gorgeous shape... with the little 'hat' on the top.
You can see the shape a little better in the silver version:
Sigh. I love them.
I only sell what I seriously love to bits.
You can get them HERE.
Don't quote me on this, but I reckon they are the next big thing..... delicate, elegant glass kitchen pendant lights. Ok, but then, these could be big too:
I am SERIOUSLY in love with these. I am thinking of getting my hands on some. What do you think? Would they take off here?
I'm off for my run now, before it gets light. Boy, it was a shocker yesterday. 36 degrees. I rode into town to stock up on some more Nespresso and to save on '$50 a minute' car parking fees. It was seriously hot. I came home and jumped straight in the pool to cool down... and then drank my body weight in water.
Another hot one is forecast today. I love reading all about the freezing cold in my Northern Hemisphere bloggy friend's blogs. I'm a cold kinda gal. How am I going to survive this summer? How to stay active in this heat? Why do I live in Brisbane again? I ask myself the same question every summer. I sort of forget how bad it is during our mild winters. Ok, gritted teeth.... out into it!
Happy Wednesday!
