Well, school has been in session for about 2 weeks so far and the kids are loving it!
Gracie started the first grade and Michael started pre-school!
They both think that school is a blast. Grace loves lunch, recess and snack, lol, and Michael loves it all!
Here is a picture that I took of Grace on the first day of school.
Here is Michael on his first day of school!
I just love them and can’t believe how big the are getting!!
How are your kids liking school?

Welcome to my series, Organize your Life!
Good morning! I am kinda on a back to school organizing kick! Last week, I posted about how I organized our school supplies, yesterday I showed you how organized my children’s personal drawers and today I will show you how I organize my daughter’s hair accessories.
I I LOVE doing Gracie’s hair and she loves when I do it too! I wanted to go through all of our supplies, organize and get rid of ones we don’t need. I wanted this done before school starts so I can easily find her bows each morning.
We organized and separated everything into 3 bins. (You know how I love bins! These are the same kind of bins that I used to organize my crafts.)
We made a bin for bows and flower barrettes. (You can see how I made some here and here.)
We used a bin for clips, bobby pins and holders. The pony tail holders and separated by size into zip-lock bags. I used my old watch tin for smaller barrettes.
We also have a bin for school approved hair accessories. They need to match their uniforms (red, blue, white or grey). It is nice to keep these separate so we don’t lose any. Plus, then it is easier to do her hair when I know where to find everything.
Now, we are ready to do hair!
I keep these in the bathroom cabinet.
This is our downstairs bathroom. I keep them in here because I do her hair right before we walk out the door. I also keep an extra set of toothbrushes down here. It just helps us get out of the house quicker, lol!
I know this is not a big organizing project but it needed to be done!
How do you organize hair accessories?
What did you organize this week?!?!
What are you organizing this week?
Have a great day! :)

Hello! As you all know, I LOVE organizing but I HATE the cost of the really neat organizers out there. There are so many things I could buy to help me organize but sometimes those items cost more than what I would put into them, lol!
When I was doing the laundry this week, I was wanting a way to organize my kids sock/underwear drawers for cheap. I didn’t want to buy anything but I need something to help us.
So, I shopped my house and found a couple of 99 cent shoe bins and thought those might work as dividers! I tried it and it worked!! I don’t know why but it’s those little things that make me happy, haha!
This is what I did to my daughter’s drawer…
I just placed the bin right in the middle to sort and divide.
I put her tights in the bin.
I put her socks on one side…
And her undies on the other!
This works for us…SIMPLE, ORGANIZED & FREE!
I also did this too her other drawer. In this drawer, I keep the things that she will wear with her uniform. (That way things don’t get messed up with the others.)
In the winter, she always wears undershirts. This just makes them easy to grab in the mornings.
These are the tights that she wears for school.
And these are her socks.
Having her school items separated, will save us time in the mornings!
Love that!
Since, I had an extra bin, I did the same to Michael’s drawer.
One side for summer PJ’s.
Socks.
And undies.
Yup, I am happy about this little change!
Do you organized your drawers?
What do you use to keep things sorted?
Have a great day! :)

Welcome to my series, Organize your Life!
This week I organized all the back to school items!
Last week, I did all my back-to-school shopping and it feels great! Well, I really only had to buy for one because Michael didn’t need anything for his pre-school.
I tried doing a one-stop-shop at Target and I was pretty successful except for a special clay they needed and I didn’t like all their folders.
When I got home, Grace helped me go through everything.
I grabbed my list and we double checked everything.
She loves to help me!
Since, there was a sale, I bought extra supplies for our craft cabinet.
I was having a really hard time decided what lunchbox to get. I really wanted this one but I am going to start with this regular one and see how it goes. It looks cute and it’s pink so I am sure it will be fine for now.
Once, we organized everything, we placed a lot of the items neatly into her backpack (which I found at a garage sale this spring for $1). I put the rest back into the Target bags, tied them and place them into a closet until school starts!
It feels great to be done! I already have her uniform and shoes ready also! I bought her new socks but I we are going to use the same shirts, jumper and sweater from last year.
As for Michael, I got him a folder and backpack but he doesn’t have a dress code so that is easy.
I am sure something else will come up so that is why I am trying to do what I can do now.
To be honest, I am worried about making her lunch everyday! This is totally new to us and I am going to have to get used to one more thing to do. I will probably make her lunch at night. Mornings are going to be a little crazy this year! I will have to get Grace and Michael totally ready to go and I need to drive them to school daily. I also try to have my workout clothes on so I can head to the gym right after drop off. I am just trying to take advantage of the last couple of weeks with the kids.
We have been busy reading (she loves her new chart), swimming and playing with friends. We are going to the zoo tomorrow and still have a couple of other events planned so we are excited about that!
How is your summer going? Are you ready for school to start?
What are you organizing this week?
Have a great day! :)
